Colouring for dummies (ie, me!)

Man, i suck at colouring and i don't know squat about using computers to help me. Does any one know of any really nice and easy tutorials for complete amatuers, such as myself?

Whoever does read this (there wont be many, haha........aw, i made myself sad now) can you please post some links that can help me.

ALSO, if someone knows how to make a proper DP for this site, i would apprciate the help aswell. Cause I try to draw one and shrink it, but it doesnt turn out so good.......
